In sub-Saharan Africa, Oceania and Western Asia, girls still face barriers to entering both primary and secondary schools. Disadvantages in education translated into a lack of time to develop skills and limited opportunities in the labor market and has led to women earning less. How would society improve if everyone received equal opportunity in education? Use specific reasons and details in your answer.

According to a UN SDG study, currently, about 85% of countries reported higher drop-out rates for primary and secondary schools in rural areas compared to urban areas.
